About me

Hi, I’m Laura. I am a fun loving 26-year-old Canadian girl currently living in England.

Two of my passions in life are reading and travelling and I’m fortunate enough to have been able to do a great deal of both so far in my life.

After graduating from University I spent a few years travelling around the world while working onboard cruise ships. I organized and hosted large-scale parties and activities for thousands of cruise guests. I’m now temporarily living in Northern England. But no matter where I am in the world, one thing that is always able to remind me of home is escaping into the comfort of my books.

Reading has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Throughout my time as an English Major at the University of Guelph I studied classic literature from some of the greatest authors of the past 500 years. As much as I loved most of the novels I read for school, I did look forward to enjoying some light and fun books in my free time. I quickly discovered that I have love for chick lit, and I have continued to read and recommend this genre as much as possible.

My blog, “Laura’s Book Nook” will allow me to talk about some of my favourite light hearted novels, and to create a reading list for my friends all around the world and other people who enjoy the same types of books as I do.
